Life is more laid-back in Valley Village. Locals can go for walks by one of the many beautiful sidewalk-lined streets in this suburban environment. In addition, many residents take pride in their upscale community and get involved. One of the ways they do this is by taking part or watching the annual Fourth of July parade.
 

Dining, Entertainment, & Shopping

Around Valley Village, you’ll find a diverse group of restaurants serving foods from around the world. Sloan’s Valley Village features gluten-free options, an extensive menu, and a stylish interior. If you manage to save any room after eating there, they have delicious desserts to enjoy. The Full House Restaurant serves Russian and Armenian food with fresh ingredients and traditional recipes. The restaurant has a beautiful outdoor dining area, and they provide catering as well. 
 
Harvest Moon is a restaurant and bakery that offers dine-in, takeout, and catering options. Established in 2012, it prides itself on sourcing its food regionally. Plus, pancake lovers will appreciate the fact that breakfast is served all day long here. Not far from Valley Village is Firefly, a beautiful fine-dining restaurant that serves seafood, meat, and more. Also near Valley Village is the upscale Japanese restaurant Asanebo. It is an award-winning restaurant that earned a Michelin star and is one of the top restaurants in all of Los Angeles. It was established in 1991 and serves many types of sushi.
 
For those looking for an excellent bar and restaurant combination, the Thirsty Merchant features delicious foods with indoor and outdoor dining. For drinks, they have wine, craft beer, and more. The Mirabelle Wine Bar serves dinner seven nights a week and brunch on Sunday. They have a large outdoor patio that is covered and heated. With a place like this, it helps to have reservations.
 

Things to Do

The Valley Village Residents Association hosts an annual Fourth of July parade that is open for residents to enter floats and enjoy the festivities. Valley Village Park is a great spot for leisurely picnics and has a playground for kids to enjoy. 
 
Just east of Valley Village in North Hollywood is the North Hollywood Recreational Center, which features tennis courts, a basketball court, a skate park, a playground, a pool, and more. It also hosts summer basketball leagues for different age groups and skill levels. Southwest of Valley Village is Weddington Golf and Tennis. It has a nine-hole golf course and multiple tennis courts. Residents hoping to improve their skills can also take part in lessons for both golf and tennis.
